Dear Diary,

I am now 8.58 years old, and I have just got Lancelot. Lance is a kid too, but the caprinaceous sort. I am raising him as my "Ag Day" project. He is about three weeks old now.

Not only are goats willing to eat almost anything, but they are smarter than sheep, more friendly, and silkier to stroke. Critically, they are still less popular that sheep and cows, so it is easier to win a prize at Ag Day in the goat category.

I have to feed him before I have my breakfast in the mornings, even school mornings, and I feed him in the evenings about 8PM as well. Mum feeds him his lunch. This is a big responsibility, but less big than a horse.
