Dear Diary,
It was all go, go, go for me and Willow on ribbon day at Matangi riding school.
We got a yellow for 3rd place (out of 7 places).
At one point, Willow and I were cantering
and we kind of ran up behind Dixie who wasn't cantering.
I was trying to pull him up while
weaving in and out of the other horse traffic, he stopped suddenly and I slid off
the great fat git. It's hard to steer and canter and pull back all at the same time!
I handled it very well. I tucked my head in and rolled as I hit the dust,
just like Dad said I should. I didn't cry, I just got back on right away.
That took guts, 7.96 years of guts.
Dear Equine Pals,
I recently got trucked to a place full of other horses. No grass in my paddock but yummy hay!
Interesting but not as much fun as the place down the road that I want to escape to
so I can be with Chippy. (I looooove Chippy - we give each other nibbles.)
The wispy little girl came and rode me. First she says go, so I went - fast.
Then she says stop, so I stopped - fast. The silly bint just slipped
right off. It was so embarrassing. At least she got back on
afterwards. I tried to look inconspicuous but that is hard when
you are so handsome.
signed Willow.
