We have planted three new citrus fruit trees.
This beastie sounds like a kumquat variant
(like the Australian Bush Kumquat, or whatever)
with a grand pedigree. We shall see.
This tree, according to the Western Garden Book
(local horticultural bible), is hardier than
a lime and likely to be more prolific. Since it
claims to be a taste concatenation of two of my favourtites,
it was a must. Also the two existing limes have yet to
yield a single fruit.
This one was chosen because the WGB claims it is
quite stunningly prolific even when small.
It will have to be unbelievable to compete with our Meyer
lemon that yields an average of 10 lemons a week
but is only 6 feet tall.
