Back in 1999 Denis and Lynne visited us, and they helped in the
removal of the ghastly black backgound floral wallpaper
in the loungeroom.
Shocking wallpaper was something of a hallmark of the poor previous
owner's wife (he had a lot of crosses to bear). Here you can see Kay
removing the last bit of the most hideous variant. Note the
relatively harmless stuff that remained, running up the stairs
to the bathroom.
Here is the new view. Kay has single-handedly eradicated all the
wallpaper on the stairs, through the upstairs hall.
This is a stark view, but a decidedly pleasant, cosy, calm one after
the floral fracas it replaces.
